A Typical Thursday Night
UBFM - Des Moines routes can't get out the door without a lot of preparation by a great group of volunteers. Some of the many tasks that must be completed before we can roll:
The Capitol Hill Lutheran Burrito Filling Makers show up early to make burrito filling
Up to 700 burritos get "squared" (not rolled)
A couple hundred PB&J sandwiches get made
Fruit, water, toiletries, and other donations are distributed to each route's table
Route teams gather, have a safety briefing, share 'Stories from the Streets,' say a prayer, and take a group photo
